CERAMIC FACTORY artworks are shaped by hand by Baptiste Macé, a master potter with over thirty years of experience. Large-scale work requires a constant reading of form, weight, moisture and drying.
Every piece retains the marks of its making. They are not erased in pursuit of uniformity: they constitute its signature.

From clay formulation to artwork.
Our story begins with clay. In Normandy, the family-owned company RAOULT FILS carries forward expertise dating back to 1889. Through Raoult & Beck, we formulate and manufacture our own clay bodies in our workshops.
Selecting a composition, developing its texture and colour, understanding how it behaves during shaping and firing: this knowledge of the material informs every stage of creation.
CERAMIC FACTORY continues this journey through its artworks. From the clay body we prepare to the finished form in a garden or architectural setting, material and form are conceived together.

Slow drying and high-temperature firing are as decisive as the shaping itself.
Balance
Work with the weight of the clay and its progressive drying shrinkage.
Fire
Bring the material to around 1200°C to reveal its strength and depth.
Made to last
From the studio to the installation site.
Indoor / outdoor
Low porosity, resistance to frost and thermal variations.
Stability
Ventilated bases, drainage and anchoring designed for the setting.
Care
Cleaning with clear water or low pressure. Natural patina belongs to the evolution of the artwork.
